Ars poetica:
The more and more I think about what is worth investing one’s energy in and ask others to collaborate on I tend to arrive at the answer that it’s documentaries. This is not to say I don’t respect or enjoy narrative films. It only to say that for me it is political, sociological, nature and environmental documentaries that make the most viable and sensible case for filmmaking. Still, having moved around a lot in our ever more expensive and confusing world I am not yet at a place when I can devote myself fully to a career in the field. Until then the art of editing remains my focus.
Awards:
No official achievements yet, but I am proud of some review articles of mine that appeared in Studies in Eastern European Cinema.
