The Korda Studios project was announced in 2004, with the dream of designing and building a brand-new film studio complex able to meet the complex needs of modern international film production. Named after Sir Alexander Korda, the studio aims to create an international center of excellence for the filmmaking community. The studio opened for business in the Spring of 2007, and while its development continues, it has already hosted some of the most prestigious local and international films and commercials ever filmed in Hungary.

The Korda Studios development is backed by Sándor Demján, the region’s most respected real estate developer, known for the construction of new cultural buildings such as The Hungarian National Theater and the Palace of Arts, winner of the prestigious 2006 FIABCI Prix d’Excellence.
